If any of the following resonate with you, you are surely due for a vacation:
- You thought you sent an email to Angie at AngCo this morning to say you’re drowning in work but instead you sent it to Angie Jones, your marriage counselor.
- You were supposed to get the payroll done last week, but since you were so stressed out, you had to pay your employees out of your pocket. That ought to go over well at this week’s marriage counseling session.
- This blog post reminded you to confirm your marriage counseling appointment but you can’t find it on your calendar.
- When you look at your calendar, you also notice that your daughter has a ballet recital on Friday. You don’t even know where the recital is. You forgot to take note of it when you entered it into the schedule.
- The only thing that interests you lately is social media. And you’re not using it to market your business. You are watching cat videos.
- You are drowning in marketing to do’s, emails, numbers, phone calls, and website jargon you can’t understand and don’t want to understand because you’re tired of trying to figure it out.
- You keep finding yourself more and more confused and more and more forgetful. You’re so stressed out you’re lucky you remembered to put on deodorant this morning.
- You just did a sniff test.
If you are thinking to yourself, “A vacation would be nice, but I can’t keep up with work as it is.” read on:
Time away from the office has been proven to make you more creative, more understanding, and better able to solve problems. Because you’re away and not in the thick of things, you have the time and space to think with a different perspective.
You will also strengthen your familial bonds (assuming you bring your family with you!). Time spent together as a family – outside of the aforementioned marriage counselor’s office – has been proven to give relationships a reboot.
Vacations are great for your health. By now, we all know that stress is a killer, so taking some time off to unplug and relax is essential for your physical and mental health. You’re not going to get your work done anyway if you’re wiped out and unfocused.
I can’t possibly take a vacation! I have no one to take my place!
Here’s where your virtual assistant comes in. They can step in and keep things running smoothly while you are gone. Your emails will still be answered, clients will be corralled, and if there is ever an emergency, your virtual assistant will be able contact you. The only thing they won’t be able to do is house-sit for you. Bonus: A VA can also make all of the travel arrangements so all you have to do is get on the plane.
What are you waiting for? Get going!
As always, thanks for reading.
Until next time,
Angie
P.S.: If you don’t have a virtual assistant ready to step in so you can get away to recharge and regroup (yes, it is possible), ring me up.
